Sarina Native Garden Competition

Sarina Native Garden Competition: Promoting the use of Australian native plants in our local gardens. 

How does your garden grow? Here is your opportunity to show us.  The competition will highlight the best use of native plants in a garden; a purposefully planted area where native plants have been used to enhance and improve the look and health of a garden.

Entry is free and are open to all gardens in the Sarina and surrounding area (Mackay to Clairview). 

All entrants will recieve five free native plants (from Sarina Landcare Catchment Management Association)

        * 1st prize:  $500 voucher, sponsored by Woodmans Mitre 10
                             + 1year SLCMA - Landcare membership

        * 2nd prize: $300, sponsored by Mackay Regional Council
                            + 1year SLCMA - Landcare membership

        * 3rd prize:  $150, sponsored by Farm HQ
                            + 1year SLCMA - Landcare membership

Entries close on 9 August 2013.  The presentation of awards will be held in early September, during the launch of the Sarina Community Native Garden.
