Whitsunday Rivers Strategy Development (1998 - 1999)

Project outline:

The project developed a natural resource management strategy for the Whitsunday catchments. This involved engaging the community in meetings and community forums to identify and prioritise environmental issues. The strategy lists the catchment's environmental issues and identifies potential strategies that could be developed to address these them.

Project achievements and outcomes:

Production and publication of the Whitsunday Rivers ICM Association Catchment Strategy, launched by the Honourable Stephen Robinson, Minister for Natural Resources and Mines.
